Yes, they are! Just make sure to use our dry-erase markers to color the mats!
Warning: Do not use any other type of markers, silicone does not like washable markers for example. We do not guarantee the color coming off if you use any other type of markers than the ones we provide.
Care & Use: We recommend cleaning the mat(s) as soon as possible, for example if your child is done coloring, wipe them clean before putting them away.
If you're struggling to remove the color and elbow grease isn't cutting it, we suggest using a Magic Eraser sponge (for best results!) or a damp microfiber cloth with a touch of dish soap. Allow it to air dry afterward.
If you've tried everything and those persistent stains just won't budge, reach out to us at info@miminoo.com. Simply send over some photos, and we'll collaborate on finding the perfect solution for you.
We highly recommend that you use our MKS Miminoo dry-erase markers. They have been tested and approved by our thousands of little customers.
You can use any other type of dry-erase markers, but we will not guarantee they will not stain the silicone or your surroundings surfaces and clothing.
DO NOT USE WASHABLE MARKERS. They are not made of this type of material.
Yes they are. Our markers are acid-free and are conforms with the norm ASTM-4236 which is mandatory for selling arts supplies to children.
We do however always recommend adult supervision while using our products.
Our markers are dry-erase markers, not washable markers.
These markers are manufactured for our coloring silicone mats and are designed to be removable off non-porous surfaces. We cannot guarantee the complete removal of ink stains on materials other than our mats, particularly surfaces that are highly absorbent in nature. This is why we recommend to also cover and protect your work surfaces, as well as your children clothing, as we can not be held accountable for any stains that could occur during the coloring activity.
We found that applying some stain remover (such as Oxyclean or Tide pens) and let it sit for a bit before putting in the wash works very well.
DRY-ERASE VS. WASHABLE MARKERS:
Our non-toxic dry erase markers can be erased using an eraser or a wet towel on most non-porous materials such as our mats, whiteboards, marble, ceramic, and glass. However, washable markers, suitable for porous surfaces, are washable from clothing but not ideal for silicone mats. The non-porous surface of silicone mats causes washable marker ink to pool, leading to an unsatisfactory coloring experience.
If you are experiencing dry pen(s) when you open your package, we do apologize for this unfortunate event.
Although rare, it can happens for various reason, such as production issue (the cap being not sealed properly), the product has been sitting on the shelf too long (our pens usually have a lifespam of 12-18m) and/or they got "hot" during transit and dried out if not closed properly.
In order to request a replacement, please send us an email at info@miminoo.com with some pictures. Each pen have a serial number of it, please make sure that it is visible on the photo to identify if it is an isolate event or if the batch might have been compromised.
